Confirmation Dress Code
I have had some recent request for details about how to dress for Confirmation. This dress code document will be sent home in a bigger packet next week, but I posted it to Google Classroom for the students today so I am also sharing it with you today.

DRESS CODE FOR CONFIRMATION
BOYS:
• Boys should wear dress slacks, a long-sleeved dress shirt and a tie. Of course, boys may also wear suits and ties or slacks and sport coats with a tie. All dress shirts must be neatly tucked in.
• Pants must be neatly hemmed or cuffed at the heel. A belt must be worn.
• Black or brown dress shoes must be worn with dark colored socks. No athletic shoes of any kind are permitted. No Vans and No Jordans
ABSOLUTELY NO JEANS, CARGO OR BAGGY PANTS, POLO SHIRTS OR ATHLETIC SHOES WILL BE ALLOWED.
GIRLS:
• A modest dress that covers the shoulders is most appropriate. Alternatively, blouses with a covering sweater, jacket or shawl paired with a skirt or dress pants would also be acceptable. Dresses with spaghetti straps are not allowed without a cover-up. In other words: NO BARE SHOULDERS.
• Dresses or skirts must be at least knee length both in the front and back of the dress or skirt. Floor length dresses are not recommended due to the risk of tripping during the processions. If pants are worn, they must be neatly hemmed or cuffed at the heel.
• Dresses, blouses and sweaters must have a modest neckline and may not plunge or sit too low along the bust line. Similarly, no bra straps should be visible
• Shoes should not be greater than 2 inches in heel height due to the risk of tripping. Flats are preferred.
• Make-up is allowed, but should be used sparingly and tastefully. Only one pair of earrings may be worn.
FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS: Hair should be kept off of the forehead to allow for the anointing of chrism (holy oil).
